Clarification from the District Office concerning Friday, July 27, 2018: Dyer County Schools regrets any confusion that we have caused concerning the first day of school. The following is the schedule for Friday, July 27th: Elementary Schools- 8:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m. Students need to register, pick up schedules, and meet teachers. Parents are encouraged to attend. If a student needs or would like to stay, school dismisses at 11:00 a.m. Buses will run. No breakfast or lunch will be served. Attendance will be taken. Middle Schools- 8:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m. 6th-8th graders need to register, pick up schedules, and meet teachers. 6th graders are highly encouraged to stay from 8:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m., so they may run through a shortened schedule. 7th and 8th graders should come any time between 8:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m. to register, pick up schedules, and meet teachers. If a student needs or would like to stay, school dismisses at 11:00 a.m. Buses will run. No breakfast or lunch will be served. Attendance will be taken. Dyer County High School- 8:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m. 9th graders will attend during these hours. They will run through a shortened schedule, meet teachers, and receive paperwork. School dismisses at 11:00 a.m. Buses will run. No breakfast or lunch will be served.
